Captain Richie Blink grew up on the bayous of Louisiana. He often jokes that “I’ve been on the water so long my dad would flip a five gallon bucket over so I could see over the bow of his boat.”
He hails from Empire, Louisiana, one of the highest yielding fishing ports on the continent, located at the tip of the toe of Louisiana’s iconic boot shape. Growing up in the delta gives Blink an advantage over other tour outfits. He has a deep understanding of how land is created and destroyed in the delta and makes his career a community organizer to help people understand the importance of coastal restoration.
